Stripe Payments FAQ

Do I need to create an account on Stripe?

You do not need to create an account with Stripe to receive payment from Scripted. Simply update your payment information in your Scripted profile to begin receiving payments via Stripe.

How is my account information stored?

All payment information is stored securely's on Stripe's servers. For more information, you can review security documentation directly on their site.

What countries does Stripe allow payment to?

Scripted is currently able to provide payments through Stripe in the following countries:

  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Luxembourg
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

Can I register with a bank account in another country?

You must update your payment information with an address and bank account in the same country. You will not be able to complete work if your personal address does not match the address for your bank account.

What is the Other Payments tab?

While the overwhelming majority of customers on Scripted have been transitioned to Stripe payment processing, there are a still a few on the older version of our platform. Completing a job for one of these customers means you will be paid via or PayPal.

We recognize this is inconvenient, but we cannot publicly identify customers for which this is the case to help avoid it either. When this occurs, you'll see the payment appear in the Other Payments tab in your account.

Note: This should only occur in rare instances.

My payment disappeared!

When a payment transitions status, (for example "Pending" to "Processing") it may temporarily disappear from the payment tab. This does not mean that the payment is lost. The fact the payment appeared at all is actually a guarantee the payment is on the way!

The Payment Tab will refresh within 24-48 hours with the "Processing" status. In some cases, it may refresh to "Paid" and skip the "Processing" status altogether. This is dependent on your bank and other factors.

However, there's no need for concern. Your payment is on the way!
