What are Proposals?
Proposals on Scripted allow you to pitch an original topic idea directly to a customer.
The type of idea you should submit will be based on the information provided by the customer in their request.
Generally speaking, there are two kinds of proposals:
Exclusive Proposal Requests: When a customer has a general idea for a blog or a custom job, they may choose you directly to pitch some ideas. Because these are urgent, they will show up under your Action Items tab under Exclusive Proposal Request.
Proposals: These can be found under "Available Work". Jobs that are "Awaiting Proposals" have been ordered by a customer and are awaiting a pitch from you. If accepted, it will become a job.
Ideas submitted under "General Blog Ideas" will be visible to every customer on Scripted. You can pitch a variety of ideas, and need only ensure that they fit the larger category topic, such as “Software and Technology” or “Accounting and Finance.” Customers will be able to purchase these ideas from their Blog Idea marketplace, if they find them interesting.
If a customer approves your idea, a job will be assigned directly to your account.
How do I keep track of ideas I’ve already submitted?
After you've pitched an idea, you can track its status in the Proposals tab. Within this tab there are four sections: Pending, Accepted, Rejected, and Inactive.
- Pending: View a list of your submissions that are currently pending. Clients typically review them within 1 or 2 weeks, and many are reviewed in fewer than 4 or 5 days.
- Started: This page will include a list of your submissions that have been accepted by clients.
- Declined: On this page you can view a list of your submissions that have been rejected by clients.
- Inactive: This page will include a list of all submissions that have not been accepted or reject after an extended period of time.
How do I cancel an idea?
If you’re no longer interested in completing a pitched idea you can cancel it at any time.
To do this, find your previously submitted idea in the Proposal tab of your account. Then, click the Remove button to the right of the topic.
After clicking this button, a popup will appear asking you to confirm that you’d like to remove the pitch.
Click Yes and your pitch will be removed.
